Lexium MDrive® Ethernet products integrate a high-torque 1.8° 2-phase hybrid stepper motor with on-board I/O, drive electronics, Ethernet controller, and closed loop performance with internal encoder option. The Ethernet controller supports multi-protocols including EtherNet/IP, Profinet IO, Modbus/TCP and MCode/TCP.
Lexium MDrive Ethernet products are an adapter class device capable of explicit or implicit messaging. These ODVA™ compliant, compact motion control solutions interface with many manufacturer's systems including Rockwell, Omron and Schneider Electric.
For operation in harsh environments, IP65-rated Lexium MDrive products with industrial M12 circular connectors are sealed against water and dust ingress, excluding motor shaft.
Networking over EthernetTCP/IP via industrial M12 circular connectors is now available in Lexium MDrive® integrated motor systems, NEMA motor sizes 17, 23 & 34. EtherNet/IP, ModbusTCP and Profinet are all software selectable from one product, delivering system flexibility to a wide range of automation machine builders.
Lexium MDrive motion CANopen products (LMDxA) support CiA DS301 and DSP402 Device Profile for drives and motion control. For easy CANopen interface, product GUI software and communication converter are available.

Both Lexium MDrive Ethernet and CANopen models with closed loop (LMDCE) are equipped with 1000 line (4000 count/rev) encoders internal to the unit, requiring no extra space in an application. Encoders perform stall detection, position maintenance and find index mark, in addition to monitoring motor shaft position for real time closed loop feedback accomplished with hMTechnology.
