Welcome to Motion News February 2007. In this Edition, we are very pleased to launch the BRD-WHI. The BRD-WHI is a highly compact, full digital Three-Axis Integrated Servo Drive for X, Y, Z applications, such as CNC machines and pick and place machines.
Using the SimplIQ motion control technology, the BRD-WHI combines three servo drives in one package and operates from a single AC or DC power supply with a built-in shunt regulator. The BRD-WHI is offered as a number of models with standard and advanced motion control features. The drivers are available as either 60 or 100 Volts DC with a continuous current of up to 10 amps.
The BRD-WHI operates in current, velocity, position and advanced position modes, in conjunction with permanent magnet synchronous brushless motors, DC brush motors, linear motors or voice coils. It can be easily set up and tuned using advanced tuning and programming software tools. The drivers are designed for use with any type of sinusoidal and trapezoidal commutation with vector control.

- Resolver with up to 512 Revolution Per Second (RPS)
- Tachometer, Potentiometer
- Two communication options: RS-232 serial communication and CANopen for fast communication in a multi-axis distributed environment
