Welcome to Motion News June issue, 2007. We are very pleased to announce that Motion Control Products Ltd has been appointed as the UK & Irish distributor for ACS Motion Control Ltd, a progressive manufacturer of advanced multi-axis motion controllers and integrated control modules.

Flagship product of ACS Motion Control is the SPiiPlus range, available in standalone or rack mounted versions.

Outstanding model within this range is the SPii Plus Control Module (CM) package, which integrates up to 3 digital drives in a programmable motion controller with a power supply.

With three internal drives, this model has the option to control another five external axes. The integrated drives are software configurable for AC servo, brushless DC or brushed DC motors with the commutation handled by the controller. The remaining 5 axes connected to the HSSI network can be either Brushless / Brushed Servo or Stepper Drives.

Applications for this new integrated motion system include semiconductor manufacturing and inspection, electronic assembly and testing, medical imaging and digital printing equipment.
