Digitax HD Servo Drive / Servo Motor System
Digitax HD | Unimotor HD
Industrial Servo Solution
Highly dynamic, high-performance servodrive and servomotor system
- Standard drive width only 40mm
- 0.7Nm - 51Nm with 153Nm peak
- 5A – 16A with 48A peak
- 200 V | 400 V
- 0.25kW - 7.5kW (0.6 hp - 9.8 hp)
Our newly launched advanced servo drive and servo motor system (Digitax HD & Unimotor HD) from Control Techniques* brings superior performance to high-dynamic pulse duty applications, where high peak torque is essential for fast acceleration. This servodrive and servomotor combination can offer:
- 400 V (3-phase) range – 0.7 to 51 Nm with 300% peak stall torque
- 200 V (3-phase) range – 0.7 to 45 Nm with 300% peak stall torque
Our Digitax HD servo drive range is one of the smallest drives on the market, having the width of 40mm and installation depth in a cabinet of 200mm only. Along with 300% overload unique features, Digitax HD supports multiple communications (EtherCAT, EtherNet, CANOpen etc.), I/O, feedback (brakes, encoders or resolvers) and machine control option modules. Unimotor HD servo motor range has a high power to weight ratio (high torque to inertia ratio), meaning that it can be easily integrated into the smallest, most demanding applications such as industrial robotics, pick & place, printing and packaging.
* Motion Control Products Ltd. is official UK & Ireland Motion Partner of Control Techniques, which is now a part of Nidec, a top global manufacturer specialised in electric motors & drives in motion control industries.

Digitax HD Servo Drives
Ultra-compact, high performance servo drives
- Standard drive width 40mm only
- 300% overload
- 5A – 16A with 48A peak
- 0.25kW - 7.5kW (0.6 hp - 9.8 hp)
The Digitax HD servo drive series offer maximum servo performance in a minimum size package with standard drive width of 40mm only. This means our drive allows a smaller cabinet and retrofitting against other manufacturers without a space issue. Optimised for highly-dynamic applications, the Digitax HD provides the flexibility of both standalone and modular configurations which boosts throughput with maximum motion control. The drive offers full servo control plus open loop permanent magnet motor and induction motor control across four functionality levels: EtherCAT, MCi machine control, Ethernet and the flexible Base servo drive.
Minimum Size, Maximum Performance
Optimised for highly-dynamic applications and with high speed control loops, Digitax HD is one of the best performing servo drives on the market today. This means maximum throughput and product quality from your machines.
- 300% peak current performance pulse-duty overload
- Up to 16 kHz switching frequency
Reduce Cost with ultra-compact drives
Minimal footprint and exceptional power density make Digitax HD one of the smallest servo drives on the market today. The unique UltraFlow™ technology expels heat directly outside the cabinet through the rear of the drive, which means the most compact cabinets possible.
- Standard drive width only 40mm
- Install Digitax HD in a cabinet just 200mm deep
Unimotor HD Servo Motors
High dynamic servo motors
- 0.72Nm - 85Nm | 1000 - 6000 rpm
- Frame size: 55 - 190mm
- High torque-to-inertia ratio
- Thermal protection by PTC thermistor | IP65
The Unimotor HD range is a comprehensive family of high performance, high dynamic AC brushless servo motors. It is designed for use in pulse duty applications where rapid acceleration and deceleration is required. With a wide torque and speed range and a broad selection of feedback options, Unimotor HD series servo motor offers the perfect match with Digitax HD servo drive to meet any application requirement.
Motor frame size is from 55mm, 67mm, 115mm, 142mm up to 190mm and each frame size has four stack length options. Its rated torque ranges from 0.7Nm to 85.0Nm (6.2 lb-in to 752lb-in) with up to 300% overload capacities. These high-performance servomotors are designed as best in class:
- Torque density
- Acceleration when used for high dynamics application
Unimotor HD servo motors have a high power to weight ratio (high torque to inertia ratio), meaning that it can be easily integrated into the smallest, most demanding applications such as industrial robotics, pick & place, printing and packaging.
Our patented designed servo motors meet environment safety and electrical conformance including CE / UL / RoHS certificates.
