Our AMT commutation encoders from CUI Devices generate standard 3-phase U/V/W communication signals for commutating brushless dc motors (BLDC motors). This new series modular encoders with high accuracy feature 22 programmable incremental resolutions from 48 to 4096 PPR. Thanks to its innovative capacitive platform, these AMT commutation encoders are resilient to dirt, dust, and oil that can plague traditional encoders in industrial environments.
The commutation encoders support various shaft sizes from 2mm to 15.875mm (5/8 in). The digital nature of the capacitive encoder models simplify the assembly process, reducing the time-consuming tasks of mounting and alignment to mere seconds with the One Touch Zero™ feature. Our AMT communtation encoders are also available as a kit with simple mounting tools for easy installation.
When combined with compact packages, low current draw of 16mA at 5V, high accuracy of ±0.2 degrees, and operating temperature ranges from -40 to +125°C, AMT commutation encoders are some of the most versatile encoders for your motion control needs, such as industrial, automation, robotics, and renewable energy applications.
