Collaborative Robots and Stages

Workforces in many industries are now becoming combinations of humans and robots. Typically the robots are undertaking tasks that are the most repetitive and tedious of jobs. This might today include the insertion and collection of parts from machine tool operations, assembly, welding, packing and stacking, sealing and many others. Already robots are having a presence in farming and harvesting, medical operations, military service, and space and underwater exploration and the list grows daily. Robots also don’t ring in sick and they can work 24/7 so they become very cost-effective and very efficient.

Motion Control Products have access to over 40 different types of robots with payloads of between 3kgs and 650kgs and are, along with our suppliers, at the leading edge of robotic process automation.

With easy-to-use set-up control via teaching pendants, collaborative robots can provide immediate and flexible input to improve production. Guaranteed real-time communication between humans, robots, factory logistics and products is a fundamental prerequisite of the Industry 4.0 concept.
